to newspaper article preserved in the Fallon County Library Somewhere on
this site it should be mentioned that no genealogy association has been
formed in Fallon County. That is not to say that the residents are
indifferent to this effort. The O'Fallon Historical
Society has spearheaded the establishment of a very interesting museum, was
responsible for the first edition of the O'Fallon Flashbacks, has plans for a
second edition of the O'Fallon Flashbacks, and is continually seeking means
to preserve the heritage of Fallon County. The Fallon County Library has preserved a nearly complete collection of newspapers from the early 1900's. Many publications pertaining to the area are on file. A limitation of resources precludes an enlarged genealogy section. A number of the local residents are doing various
phases of research, documentation, and preservation of the area history.
Fallon County is less than 100 years old- so we have a good chance of
recording a major portion of the history. If you should request a copy of any of the articles from either the Fallon County Library or from Betty Kusler, be prepared to pay a small fee for such. They are stored in an area which has no copy equipment and are rather hard to handle. Again if the resources were available it would be nice to have it all on film. The following list is vital records by last
name.
